Well, they say there’s nothing in a name, but the Admirals Stuben in the Lindner Hotel Windrose really does have the authentic look of a captain’s cabin and officer’s club with paintings of ancient mariners on the walls and wonderfully detailed model ships. The interior really does have the feel-good factor, with friendly service and delicious food rounding things off nicely. Admirals and other guests can start the day at the breakfast buffet, where a wide choice of dishes await guests, including a choice of healthy options. The lunch menu features local specialities including “Kutterscholle” and of course freshly-caught fish from the North Sea. In the afternoon there’s a chance to sit back and enjoy a cup of Frisian tea with delicious cakes on the sun terrace.
