New York’s version of Aquavit has become an icon in Scandinavia for modern elegance and culinary adventure. Now Aquavit has come to Stockholm and brought with it the buzz and urban style which is characteristic of New York City. Stockholm’s version of the restaurant strives to offer fun dining as opposed to the New York original’s fine dining. That means that Aquavit Grill & Raw Bar is ambitious, but unpretentious, simple but modern and offers a relaxed atmosphere, where food, service and ambience all have equal importance. The menu represents a clash of Scandinavian flavours and Manhatten energy, for example: sirloin steak with tomato and almond salsa; breast of cornfed Bjäre chicken with tarragon and corn cake; and tuna Caesar with croutons and parmesan.
