The menus are based around traditional and local specialities and fresh produce with a wide selection of fish and shellfish. Mathilde’s dinner is one of the restaurant’s specialities. The name of this menu is derived from Mathilde Jernstrøm, who together with her husband Erik Herman Jernstrøm opened Lyststedet Bellevue in 1899. This unique menu is based on a variety of dishes, which were served in the 1920s. The exclusiveness of these dishes display the distinguished elegance and show the best from old Bergen, as well as playing an important role in Bellevue’s culinary heritage.
