Mexican RestaurantPhone bookings/orders are accepted Credit/debit cards accepted Licensed to serve alcohol Fully non-smoking Children are welcome Art gallery in-house We Say Café des Amis is a vibrant and colourful Mexican restaurant with a few surprises on the menu in addition to the more well-known Mexican favourites such as Fajitas. The place has a buzzing, lively atmosphere and an enduring popularity. The service is friendly and attentive. The food is well-presented and of high quality with freshly made salsas and guacamole; and locally sourced ingredients. Salsa or guacamole tend to be a little over-used occasionally leading to rather strange flavour combinations - for example the salsa really does not go well with the Citrus & Coriander Lamb Stew. Dishes have undoubtedly been tamed for Western palates and it would be nice to have the option of sampling the original dish. Prices are average and there is a mandatory 10% service charge for tables of 6 or more. Beer, wine and cocktails are available. Overall a very enjoyable place to eat with simple, freshly cooked food and a lively, relaxed atmosphere. Date visited: 20 Jun 2011 Are You The Owner?
