| Catalan Restaurant Cal Jordi is located in the historical centre of the medieval village of Montblanc de Tarragona, in the building known as Les Monjes Velles.
The restaurant has three dining rooms and two terraces and still retains some of the original architectural features such as the stone arches at the entrance and in the main dining room. Inside, the restaurant has a medieval style, which makes it ideal for the celebrations of the fiesta of Sant Jordi.
The Catalan cuisine at Cal Jordi includes traditional dishes and classic regional recipes using excellent quality products and ingredients. Specialities on the extensive menu include goat’s cheese salad with walnuts, baby broad beans with cured ham or partridge ragú with cubes of macerated oil and a redcurrant seed tuille.
It is also known for its traditional “Calçotada” - when local Calçot spring onions are grilled over coals - traditionally between January and March, as well as the medieval menu available during the Sant Jordi festival.
Cal Jordi is an excellent location for all kinds of celebrations, from quiet dinners with friends through to larger group event - the restaurant’s main dining room can seat up to 80 people.
