Cata 1.81 is located in the Eixample district in central Barcelona. It is a spacious and relaxed restaurant that was refurbished in mid-2011. It is ideal for informal evenings as well as group events thanks to its private dining room that can seat up to 20 diners, decorated with the restaurant’s distinctive wine bottles.

The cuisine is fresh and contemporary using top quality traditional Mediterranean ingredients, often applying innovative techniques and combinations. Cata 1.81 offers dishes such as grouper and prawn “buñuelos” (deep fried fritters), truffled ham and cheese sandwich, macaroni with white chocolate and “sobresada” (paprika flavoured pork pate), mackerel terrine, deluxe hamburgers with fois gras as well as its own house ketchup.

Delicious desserts include fruit salad with rose water, or “crispy nests” with orange blossom. The restaurant boasts an extensive wine list (more than 400 wines) and positively encourages diners to combine the everyday act of eating with every aspect of wine enjoyment.
