Situated at the heart of Heidelberg’s old town, the Gasthaus Hotel Backmulde serves both traditional and modern cuisine. Back in the 17th century, the building was used as a sailors? hostelry, but the Backmulde is now home to some wonderful hospitality and fine cuisine, that will simply delight you. On the menu is a selection of German and French cuisine, which is carefully prepared and attentively served. Dishes include char in a potato crust served on a bed of spinach, or ratatouille lamb and a bean ragout served with thyme gnocchi. The restaurant is within easy walking distance of many of the town’s famous landmarks, including the castle, the Heiliggeist church and the Kurpfälzische Museum.
