The Gasthof Kreuz is a country inn which has been run by the same family for 12 generations. Situated near Berne, the Gasthof Kreuz offers guests a journey through time. Its seven rooms comprise restaurants, vaulted cellars and event rooms and are steeped in history. The restaurant serves suitable, traditional meals, such as the Berner Platte and historical explanations are provided. The wine cellar dates from 1841. It is stocked with numerous international quality wines and antique relics from the war. The historic Waldfondue (forest fondue) - a cheese fondue which is eaten outside and from an army bowl using 80 cm long forks - gives diners an authentic flavour of the past. The restaurant also has modern features. There is a free recharging station for electric scooters, a menu with international, low-calorie and vegetarian dishes and special events such as Wine & Dine.
