The Winter first opened 275 years ago. It is family-run restaurant situated in the tiny pilgrimage centre of Eggerode. This is not a cold place. Snuggle up by the open fireplace in the cosy lounge. The room has dark beams, tiles everywhere and paraphernalia on the walls. Alternatively, you can dine in the grand dining room which has chandeliers, beautifully laid tables, candles and a bright ambiance. The restaurant serves delicacies from Westphalia. The restaurant offers freshly baked bread from the historic cast-iron wheeled oven. The staff are helpful and on the ball. There is also a good selection of wine.
