Koefoed opened in late 2006 with the aim of providing a sense of the remote Danish island of Bornholm right in the heart of Copenhagen, in a side street just off Store Kongensgade. Throughout the year, the menu unites the classic with the modern, the basic with the sophisticated, and the local with the international. With a focus on using the highest quality produce, Koefoed takes pride in showcasing the simple, yet superb local ingredients and food from the island. The restaurant consists of several smaller rooms, which can easily be made slightly more private by drawing a curtain. It is an ideal environment for business lunches and meetings, as well as a romantic dinner.
