Swedish Restaurant

On what is probably Örebro’s prettiest cobblestone square, lies the newly opened Scandinavian restaurant and bar, Kungsgatan 1. The decor creates a fine contrast between a warm green colour scheme and the hard cold concrete feel of the city. Ambition in the kitchen is high and, at the time of writing, they are working hard with Swedish autumnal flavours. How about venison “Wallenburgare” with Swedish style mashed potatoes or fresh elk entrecote with rustic root vegetables? The chefs are extremely selective over ingredients and always try to hunt out local produce. This is natural cuisine, high on taste and low on fuss, where ingredients are always cooked to perfection.
