Offering fine Alpine cuisine in an Alpine and Mediterranean ambience, the Max Essbar in Munich Schwabing is greatly influenced by Southern German, Austrian and North Italian cuisine.

The menu is tantalising with regional produce and seasonal dishes that always change according to the season. Every season has a particular dish that relates to it. For example South Tyrolean bread dumpling Carpaccio with fresh chanterelle and bacon pieces, beef fillet in a homemade herb butter with rosemary potatoes and vegetables, or homemade sugared pancakes with almonds, rum and raisins. Quality is always vitally important and so the kitchen uses only the freshest ingredients when preparing the meals.
