The New Packhorse in Cleckheaton serves hearty British food, real ale and West Country ciders. The New Packhorse’s open fireplace and cosy setting make it the archetypal English country pub. Black Sheep-battered local haddock and fillet of sea bass feature on The New Pack Horse menu alongside homemade pies and the signature “Dominator burger”. Plenty of tempting sides accompany pub classics and new mains, gammon and steaks. Chunky sandwiches and baguettes are available for lunch, while freshly-cooked lunches on Sunday include classic roast topside or vegetable lasagne, or tasty starters of tandoori kebabs and fresh mussels. The pub also offers a weekly quiz night on Thursdays, and regular 2 for 1 cocktail nights are hosted by the resident mixologist.
