Located in the heart of the city, the recently-opened Reading Spice is the perfect destination for delicious food in elegant, relaxed surroundings, where quality dishes and excellent hospitality are a priority. The experienced and enthusiastic chefs pursue the creation of exquisite home-style North Indian cuisine, always experimenting with modern and traditional techniques, aiming to convey their love for food and authentic flavours in each and every dish that they produce. The philosophy is simple; unique, healthy, Indian dining experience close to home style. The cooking is slow and gentle to retain all the freshness and value of the herbs. Food is neither over spiced nor over cooked and contains an all-natural ingredient approach. Chilly heat is restrained and a prudent balance of spices makes for a lighter, more easily digested meal which lingers fondly in the memory - not the belly. Situated on Station Road, close to Friar’s Walk and the Reading Museum, Reading Spice is genially presented on the second floor of a period building. What’s more, Head Chef Singh had the privilege of serving Lady Diana and Prince Charles while they were in India.
