The Red Lion at Hunningham is a lovely, large 17th Century pub adjacent to a 14th Century bridge crossing the River Leam. Since undergoing a root and branch refurbishment, it has been returned to its former glory after the floods.
This is a proper country pub, crewed by people who love country pubs (and comic books), with stone and wooden floors, decent old furniture, open fires and a friendly, chatty atmosphere.
We source good, local produce that we cook simply and without cutting any corners. Our food is honest and unfussy but really tasty. We want to keep the pub feeling like a pub so we don’t have any music or gaming machines. We can assure you of a warm welcome, good food which is served all day, alongside well kept cask beers and decent, quaffable wines.
