The Speisekammer in Frankfurt am Main serves diners traditional Hessian cuisine. The hosts Jutta und Dieter Schreuer complete the package with a selection of unusual dishes. The menu offers, for example, Handkäs (hand cheese) and green sauce as well as tarragon flavoured schnitzel, pork tenderloin with apples in calvados cream and basil parfait. The restaurant has a cosy and hospitable feel and the dining room offers families a warm welcome. The restaurant is a bolthole from the stresses of everyday life.
