Co-owned by acclaimed restaurateur Drew Nieporent and legendary actor Robert De Niro, the modern American cuisine of Tribeca Grill has been a culinary highlight of downtown New York since 1990. Backed by an A-List roster of investors from Bill Murray and Sean Penn to Christopher Walken and Harvey and Bob Weinstein, Tribeca Grill serves a contemporary, market-driven menu courtesy of Executive Chef Stephen Lewandowski. Accompanying such irresistible dishes as Seared Sea Scallops with Chanterelles and Corn Pudding and Braised Short Ribs with Porcini Mushrooms, Tribeca Grill’s extensive wine list includes the world’s largest selection of Châteauneuf-du-Pape, as well as many rare California Cabernet verticals. Held in high regard by the restaurant’s clientele, the wine list has established Tribeca Grill as one of only seven restaurants in New York to receive the prestigious Grand Award from Wine Spectator Magazine. Situated within the headquarters for Mr. De Niro’s Tribeca Productions and Film Festival, as well as the Weinstein Company, Tribeca Grill is a visual feast. Reflecting its industrial surroundings, the high ceilings and oversized windows complement the mahogany bar and exposed brickwork from its warehouse origins at the turn of the 20th century. Three private dining areas are ideal for corporate and social functions, and the restaurant also serves as a gallery for the work of Mr. De Niro’s father, the late Robert De Niro Sr.
