The Zunfthaus am Münsterhof in the heart of Zurich is an historic building dating from 1315 - and a place where the people of Zurich come to relax and enjoy themselves. You will find a selection of traditional dishes and creative cuisine on the menu, including of course Zürcher Geschnetzeltes (a veal dish) served with hash browns as well as perch fillets fried in butter - the perch incidentally are from Lake Zurich. As for dessert, why not try the Schoggimousse (a chocolate mousse) or the plum strudel served with vanilla sauce. The coats of arms decorating the windows and the old and magnificent Elgg oven in the Zunftstube will remind you that you are in a very historic setting.
