Axis at One Aldwych is back with a fabulous new menu from Executive Chef, Dominic Teague. The striking restaurant with its Covent Garden location is ideal for those seeking great food and good conversation, far removed from the buzz outside.

The new Axis menu focuses on seasonal ingredients and embraces the best of British, including foraged foods such as delicate sea purslane and wood sorrel. The Modern British menu offers all of this in abundance, not forgetting a list of exciting artisanal cheeses.

Stand-out dishes include a starter of “Pan fried and tartare of mackerel, watercress and warm shellfish vinaigrette” and a main course of “Highland venison loin rolled in mustard and soft herbs, braised shoulder and celeriac”.

Desserts are not to be missed - you’ll be torn between “Savarin of citrus fruits and rosehip sorbet” and “Scottish honey parfait with preserved figs”.

With its enviable Theatreland location and a fixed price menu reflective of the style of the à la carte menu, Axis is the perfect spot for a bite to eat before the performance.
