Highly commended Bellini restaurant in southern Amsterdam serves a regularly changing menu of top quality Italian cuisine.

The restaurant features in the Benelux Michelin Guide and has impressed critics. Johannes van Dam from Amsterdam newspaper Parool has given it a rating of 9+ out of 10. Bellini is also included in an eating out guide written by the restaurant critic for the Telegraaf, a Dutch national newspaper.

Typically Italian, the cuisine is made from only the very best ingredients, some of which are imported straight from Italy. Just a few of the dishes on offer include ossobuco alla Milanese, asparagus risotto and lobster ravioli. The desserts are just as appetising, with chocolate truffle ice cream and panna cotta amongst the options. The emphasis on using seasonal produce results in a menu that changes according to the times.

Although set out of the centre, in the southern outskirts of Amsterdam, Bellini is enough reason in itself to come to this part of the city. However, you’ll also find Amstelpark and the Amsterdamse Bos nature reserve nearby if you want to make a day of it.
