Monday to Friday serving breakfast and lunch, 8am to 4pm | Locally Sourced Restaurant, Traditional British Restaurant The Clink Cymru at HMP Cardiff offers 28 category D prisoners the opportunity to work a 40-hour week within the 96 cover restaurant where they train towards gaining nationally recognised NVQ qualifications that will aid employment upon their release.
The service is second to none and the food served offers a contemporary twist on traditional British dishes. As well as promoting the rehabilitation and reintegration of prisoners, The Clink Cymru also champions the wealth of quality, fresh and organic local produce available with many of the ingredients used in the dishes, including fruit, vegetables, meat, poultry and herbs being harvested from the farms and gardens at HMP Prescoed where prisoners are also training towards gaining qualifications in horticulture, agriculture and farming.
Open Monday to Friday serving breakfast and lunch, 8am to 4pm and the last Wednesday of the month for an exclusive evening sitting, 7-9.30pm, The Clink Cymru is also available for exclusive hire for larger events with a private dining room which is perfect for more intimate gatherings.
