The Schloßvorwerk is a cluster of half-timbered buildings situated below the monastery and provides the ideal base from which to go for a walk or to tour the museum. Virtually no other restaurant allows you to eat so well and in such a rural and idyllic setting. Situated between Schloßteich and Schloßberg, this venue serves good traditional Saxon cuisine with a modern touch, and you will find that the food is further enriched by the use of seasonal ingredients. On the menu is everything from Sauerbraten to four-course meals. The Schloßvorwerk is a blend of old and new and has a warm and friendly feel.
