The Gasthof Krone in Kinding is situated in the Almühltal Naturpark. It has been run by the same family since 1890. The restaurant has some awards in recent years, including the Landkreissieger Bayerische Küche (a Bavarian award), the Zwei Sterne (Two Star) Superior award, and an award for being a restaurant and hotel business that is environmentally friendly, catering for cyclists and hikers. The seasonal menu offers selected meat dishes sourced from home-reared animals and fresh trout from the restaurant’s own trout pool. The Krone also has an extensive choice of meals for vegetarians. For children there are play areas in the restaurant and the beer garden and a playground in the courtyard. The restaurant is keen to offer musical entertainment providing musical events throughout the year. Events include the Frühlingserwachen (Spring Awakening), an Easter brunch and the New Year’s Eve dinner.
