The Moffat Toffee Shop is a family run business that has been established since the late 1800s. The shop sells a great range of traditional sweets including a range of homemade confectionery, including, fudge, tablet, truffle, sherbet and the world famous Moffat Toffee.
The Moffat Toffee family recipe was thought to have been used for the first time commercially, by the present owner’s great-grandmother, Janet Cook Johnstone, around the late 1800s.
As well as over 500 different sweets the rear of the shop is dedicated to a wide range of whiskies, famous blends and single malts being stocked for connoisseur and general enjoyment.
The business is still run by Blair Blacklock, assisted by shop staff and factory staff where the homemade confectionery is produced.
