The Bellevue is a hotel-restaurant in Spiez on Lake Thun. It offers international gourmet cuisine with some innovative touches. The restaurant is only a few minutes away from town’s lakefront and has an impressive view of the castle, lake and mountains. Like the wine list the food menu is high quality and international. It offers Techtel Mechtel vom Hirschfilet (a type of venison fillet) with US scallops on mango and truffle ravioli, Norwegian Arctic char in a potato wrap and Sabayon von Spiezer Rieslingssilvaner (a type of dessert) - as well as 3 to 7 course meals. The restaurant has special events such as Read & dine, Country & Dine and Comedy & Dine giving the place a cultural feel. Homemade delicacies, such as bread, jams and chocolates are made using traditional and innovative methods. The hotel restaurant is modern and stylishly furnished and has been in the same family for three generations.
