But what does culinary mean? Marko Poike-Wenzel the really likeable guy with his white apron answers immediately: ?Culinary means finesse involving indulgence and satisfaction. It should be fun for you and bring people closer together.? No wonder, as Chef de Cuisine he is aiming for these values and his first priority is a pleasant guest. In his opinion this does not just mean a visually great-looking dish just as well it means that young and old have had enough delicacies. Therefore the Canaletto offers meals at the highest stage but does not copy the so-called Cuisine Petite of most of the high-class restaurants. The restaurant convinces with a seasonal menu and exalted european and eastern cuisine. This diversity refers to different culinary cultures especially their ingredients and cooking methods and here that means partly Saxon partly International kitchen with influences of all continents, mainly from Asia.
