| German Restaurant The T.R.U.D.E. restaurant is right next door to the Museum der Arbeit, in the shadow of the TRUDE, formerly the largest drilling head in the world. The restaurant successfully combines old and new, with contemporary architecture and fresh design. Many pictures line the walls and create a warm, cosy atmosphere. German cuisine is served here, but with plenty of original ideas including German Tapas with a surprising twist. The Schneller Mittagstisch (quick lunch menu) is served Monday to Friday from 11.30am - 5pm. The whole restaurant can be hired out for events or just the Kaminzimmer (holds 80) or Chefzimmer (for 10-14 people). Capacity when full is 280. Plus, it is possible to use the terrace and the historic museum courtyard, which incidentally is classed as a listed monument.
